Product Review : The Coolest Salad Lunchbox

The Coolest Salad Lunchbox

Our garden is planted and with the sunny, warm temperatures we’re having, seeds are bursting into sprouted lettuces, kale, chard and lots more.  In a few weeks we will have more lettuce than we know what to do with.  Since we pack a salad for lunch everyday in the summer, I’ve been on the hunt for a handy salad lunchbox.   What else are we going to do with all of that lettuce?  Even after we share it, there is still so much!

Anyway,  I found just the right container complete with a snap-in, reusable ice pack and dressing dispenser.   It’s the Fit & Fresh Salad Shaker Container.  For starters, it’s made of food grade, BPA free plastic.  The bowl holds 4 cups of salad and the dispenser holds 3 tablespoons of dressing.

See how the ice pack fits right inside the lid?

Once all of your salad ingredients are layered in the bowl, snap on the lid, turn the dispenser in a closed position with the lid open and fill with dressing.

Pack it up and take it to go!

When it’s time for lunch, remove the lid, turn the dressing dispenser to open and without any fuss the dressing pours onto the salad.  Replace the lid, give it a shake, and enjoy!  The salad is crisp and fresh like it just came from the fridge.

The only negative to this contraption I’ve found is that the top lid is so secure that it’s difficult to open.  Where to buy it?  I oddly found mine at a local office supply store for under $10.00.  Keep an eye out at your local Target.  Available also at www.amazon.com and of coarse at their own website above.

Cheers!

  1. I was just talking about all my containers that seem to leak my salad dressing or my yogurt. This looks very cool. I will see if I can find it up here. We make salads for lunch every day too.

  2. I like that container. I usually have to bring another small container for my dressings and this one will save space.
