Our garden is planted and with the sunny, warm temperatures we’re having, seeds are bursting into sprouted lettuces, kale, chard and lots more. In a few weeks we will have more lettuce than we know what to do with. Since we pack a salad for lunch everyday in the summer, I’ve been on the hunt for a handy salad lunchbox. What else are we going to do with all of that lettuce? Even after we share it, there is still so much!
See how the ice pack fits right inside the lid?
Once all of your salad ingredients are layered in the bowl, snap on the lid, turn the dispenser in a closed position with the lid open and fill with dressing.
Pack it up and take it to go!
When it’s time for lunch, remove the lid, turn the dressing dispenser to open and without any fuss the dressing pours onto the salad. Replace the lid, give it a shake, and enjoy! The salad is crisp and fresh like it just came from the fridge.
The only negative to this contraption I’ve found is that the top lid is so secure that it’s difficult to open. Where to buy it? I oddly found mine at a local office supply store for under $10.00. Keep an eye out at your local Target. Available also at www.amazon.com and of coarse at their own website above.
