Hearty Soups – Hearty meals is just what we need as winter approaches bringing with it cold temps and from what I’ve heard, lots of snow. During the long cold days of winter, I can’t think of anything better than coming home to something savory and fragrant simmering in the kitchen.
This cooking class takes place in a comfortable home setting and is designed to equip guests with practical skills, nutritional and product information that encourage the transition away from processed foods and moving towards clean eating and whole food meals. Eating healthy doesn’t mean you feel deprived. My menu’s are designed to show you how delicious healthy food can be.
Hearty Soups-Hearty Meals Saturday, October 22 11am – 1pm $40.00 per person
Soothing soups can be a satisfying basic meal or dress them up for an elegant feast. Affordable and versatile, they often come in the form of a “meal in a bowl” or commonly paired with bread and salad. And that’s exactly what this menu is offering. Using fresh ingredients, I will demonstrate how to make Bone Broth from scratch. We’ll prepare a hearty meal in a bowl, Crock Pot Mexican Beef Chowder, and Creamy Curried Broccoli Soup, a simple but exotic vegan bisque.
Now that baking season has commenced, let’s fire up the oven and bake Paleo Bread, a “quick bread” with only 7 ingredients (shown above). It will amaze you in texture, flavor and versatility. The fresh spot on the menu will be my Spiralized Carrot, Apple and Kale Salad seasoned with an easy creamy cashew dressing. It’s never before been published and…I mean, it’s to die for!
